Twisted Love is the first in a quartet. Each novel in the series follows a separate love story and develops the lives of four mutual friends: Ava Chen (Twisted Love, 2021), Bridget von Ascheberg (Twisted Games, 2021), Jules Ambrose (Twisted Hate, 2022), and Stella Alonso (Twisted Lies, 2022). Because later installments contain spoilers for previous books, Ana Huang recommends reading the books in series order for the best experience. However, the Twisted novels are interconnected standalones and can also be read out of order or by themselves.

In Twisted Love, Huang briefly introduces Bridget and her new bodyguard, Rhys Larsen. Bridget is the princess of a wealthy European country called Eldorra. Rhys is described as gruff and arrogant; he sports black hair, gray eyes, a broad muscled frame, and a jagged scar slashing through his left eyebrow. Rhys’s overprotectiveness frustrates Bridget, although Ava notes that Bridget rarely lets this emotion show. The second installment in the Twisted series, Twisted Games, follows Bridget’s love story with Rhys as she also grapples with becoming first in line to the throne of Eldorra. The full chronology of Bridget’s story takes place over four years, with Part 1 occurring simultaneously with the Twisted Love timeline, and Part 2 taking place after Twisted Love.
